Light hearted holidays in the villages of Cyprus guided by Tradition and Nature.

The Agrotourism programme began to be applied by the Cyprus Tourism Organization in 1992. This programme is for those who are interested in transforming existing residences into tourist accommodation, traditional restaurants, tourist shops and cultural centres. All these should have a character matching the traditional environment of the community.

Several organizations such as the Cyprus Tourism Organization, the Department of Antiquities, the Department of Town Planning and Housing, the Ministry of Agriculture Natural Resources and Environment, Community Authorities, Local Cultural Associations, Associations of Expatriates, house owners, architects, the Association of Cultural Tourism and Special Interests, Tourist Guides and Travel Agencies work for the effectuation of the agrotourism policy and development.

Agrotourism offers both local and foreign tourists the opportunity to spend their holidays near nature and near common and hospitable people of the Cypriot countryside. They will also get to know Cypriot folkways, the traditional architectural character of the island, taste our traditional Cypriot cuisine, the traditional products of the island and at the same time admire the various kinds of popular tradition and art. Moreover, tourists will be given the opportunity to become familiar with the agricultural way of life and also to participate in agricultural works if they wish to.

Today, Agrotourism constitutes a living part of the Cypriot tourism which includes traditional accommodations of historical value, ready to offer a new holiday proposal.

In these gentrified accommodations, tourists will immediately encounter a warm atmosphere which will remain unforgettable. Parallel to this, they will experience many pleasant surprises outside, in nature, with walks on green pathways, swimming in blue waters, visits to historical monasteries and archaeological sites and generally the uniqueness that Cypriot villages have to offer.

The following accommodations operate in our Community within the framework of Agrotourism.

A traditional complex of eight 1 bedroom studio apartments operates at the core of the community. All apartments have traditionally formed spaces and are fully equipped, but without an air-conditioning system.
